Patients for Biologics Safety & Access (PBSA) is a national coalition representing patient advocacy organizations working to ensure that the voices and interests of patients are heard as the FDA considers approval of a new category of drugs known as biosimilars.
The goal of PBSA is to make sure the voices and interests of patients are not only heard, but are front-and-center in the fast-emerging policy debate around biosimilars and access to biologic medicines.
Biosimilars have the potential to impact millions of lives. Policymakers need to hear a strong and united patient voice at this critical time.
With biosimilars applications currently being reviewed by the FDA, we are particularly concerned that without such a patient effort, a regulatory structure could be established and products approved without adequate patient protections in place.
By putting forward a clear and strong patient voice, collectively we can make an important difference for our members and millions of Americans now and into the future.
